Slate4Sure tested 3 of most popular budget tablet CPUs:

• Allwinner A10
• Rockchip RK2918
• AmLogic AML8726

We have already compared tablet CPU architecture  here in the past.

RK2918 and AmL8726 are manufactured using 65nm process (Allwinnner A10 is produced using 55nm litography).

 All af them are based on either Cortex-A8 or Cortex-A9 ARM core, so all chips are comparable concerning performance per clock, providing 2-2.5 DMIPS/MHz, but their GPU part differs significantly.
